Overview
Guide your burglars past the lasers to grab the priceless treasures, then back out before security catches on. Use mirrors, laser splitters, and careful planning to outsmart a museum full of traps and security systems.
How do I access the game?
- Connect to Wi-Fi
- Update your Board:
- Go to Settings (top-right) > System > Check for Updates.
- Don't see an update option? Wait 30 min for the update to download in the background. You won't see a progress bar or any on-screen indication that the download is happening, and you can continue using your Board during this time.
- Restart your Board
- Confirm it's running firmware version 2.0.2 or later (Settings > System).
- Open your Library, scroll to Heist, download and play!

How to Play
Tutorial
You’ll learn how to play and how the game pieces function while you play! There's no separate tutorial mode — just jump in and let the game teach you as you go.
The Goal
Thieves are trying to steal the treasure and escape. Lasers stand in the way. Your job: place mirrors and splitters to deflect the lasers and guide the thieves to safety.
Each level has a series of checkpoints. Thieves move through the checkpoints one at a time -- your pieces need to protect them every step of the way.
To win the level get the thieves to collect the treasure and reach the exit safely. That's the heist!
Taking a Turn
1 to 6 players take turns. On your turn, arrange the pieces on the map however you like — then hit **GO**.
Once you think the path is safe, tap the "Go" button at the bottom of the Board to advance your burglars forward.
Once you hit GO, the thieves automatically move toward their next checkpoints. If they make it safely, the next player takes their turn.
If a thief is hit by a laser, they're sent back to their previous checkpoint — and it's the next player's turn. No pressure!
Placing the Pieces
You have two types of pieces to work with:
**Mirrors** — reflect the laser beam in a new direction
**Splitters** — divide the beam into two
Pieces can only be placed on designated slots on the map. Experiment with different positions and rotations to redirect the beams away from the thief's path.
On your turn, you can move pieces around as many times as you like. However, the total number of pieces on the map cannot exceed the level's **Pieces Used** limit. Plan carefully!
FAQs
Can I play The Heist solo? Yes! The Heist can be played solo. You can also team up with family and friends to solve each heist together.
Is The Heist competitive or cooperative? The Heist is a co-op strategy game. Players work together to plan moves, redirect lasers, and complete each level.
How many levels are there? The Heist currently has 50 levels available (25 standard levels, and 25 pro levels). In August and September, even more levels and modes will drop!
